About
Simple luxury. Inspired architecture.
Set in the heart of Newfoundland’s Bonavista Peninsula, and just minutes from the historic town of Trinity, the Lodgings at Goose Cove gives you a rare combination of privacy, comfort, and easy access to the very best that Newfoundland has to offer.
More than a place to stay, Goose Cove is a place to settle in. This seaside retreat was originally built for the owners’ own family—as a place where children could run and roam, grownups could finally exhale, and everyone could be together without being on top of each other. That same idea still shapes the experience today. This is not a place built around one perfect itinerary. It’s a place designed to let people gather, drift apart, and come back together again in all the ways that matter most.
Today, guests can choose between two distinct stays: Treetop and Oceanside. Treetop rises above the treeline with sweeping views over Trinity Bay and the town of Trinity, offering a quieter, more elevated experience. Oceanside sits closer to the shoreline, where the North Atlantic is part of the experience from morning to night. Both stays share the same commitment to thoughtful design, understated luxury, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.
Goose Cove is well suited to families, couples, friends, and small groups; whether they’re here for a vacation, a romantic getaway, a reunion, or a small corporate or creative retreat. What connects them all is the same appeal—space to spread out, space to reconnect, and the kind of quiet luxury that makes everything feel easier.
Thoughtfully designed by award-winning architect Robert Mellin, the Lodgings at Goose Cove reflect our commitment to both exceptional comfort and respect for our surroundings. Passive solar heating, energy-efficient systems, natural materials, and carefully considered amenities all help create stays that feel elevated without ever feeling overdone. The result is a retreat that is both refined and welcoming—a place where land and sea, stillness and adventure, gathering and solitude, all live side by side.
